Because being pregnant carries with it a host of worries, brushing your chompers while pregnant may be one of the last things you concern yourself about. But since your oral health can affect your overall health and the baby’s health, it’s crucial that you do everything in your power to save your oral cavity health while you’re expecting a child. We’ve put together the following tips to assist you in doing just that.
How to save your mouth health during pregnancy:
-Always brush at least two times per day using ADA-approved toothpaste.
-Floss your chompers at least one time per day.
-If you use dental products besides toothpaste, ensure that they also have the ADA seal.
-Monitor foods high in sugar, which could create plaque, tartar and eventually gum disease in your mouth.
-Visit our office regularly so that we can monitor your health and adjust your treatment plan accordingly.
-Monitor your plaque; if you have strangely high amounts, we might be able to endorse a high-power mouthwash to support you in keeping it under control.
